Dog-Friendly Patios & Places

Your doggos are welcome at the market any Tuesday or Friday, 10:30am-2:00pm, May – October, of course!

But this Friday, September 24th is Bring-Your-Dog day at Pearl Market. We’re so celebrating our canine brethren with a gift basket giveaway, homemade treats from Healthy Pup Stuff, and extra (safe) outdoor social time!

To keep the puppy-party going or find fido-friendly weekend activities, here is our short-list of dog-friendly places close to downtown Columbus:

  1. Land Grant Brewing Co (424 W Town St, Franklinton)
Every day is dog day at one of the best dog spots in town. With regular food trucks, live outdoor entertainment, big-screen OSU football screenings, and a turf area just for dogs, Land Grant is a must for your whole troupe of human and furry friends.

  2. Gresso’s (961 S High, German Village)
Gresso’s is an original south-side dive bar in an old German Village house now famous for its fun patio and raucous OSU game festivities. Check it out on game day if your dog is chill, or just head over for some pong or a cold one some hot afternoon in its shaded east-facing patio. Just one block from Schiller Park, expect friendly neighbors and even more friendly dogs!

  3. Emmett’s Cafe (744 S High St, German Village)
Healthy, hearty brunch fare and great coffee await you some sleepy morning at the newly-opened Emmett’s Cafe. Have your friend order inside while you take your dog around to the cozy back patio via the Frankfort St entrance. Your dog will quickly make friends that will last you into the cooler months when the Emmett’s patio stays open for cold-hardy doggos and their warm coffee-loving owners.

  4. Parson’s North Brewing Co (685 Parsons Ave, Schumacher Place/Southern Orchards)
This newer brewery livens up the Parsons corridor with specialty brews, arcade games, a big green patio, and a regular food truck lineup on site.
Special tip: Pups on the Patio, their monthly event, donates 10% of ALL the evening’s profits (not just beer) to a local dog rescue or charity! Check their IG for upcoming dates

  6. Pub Mahone (31 E Gay St, Downtown)
Of course the Irish pub is football (soccer) crazed. You won’t find a better place to watch the Crew or other across-the-pond sports like rugby and cricket. Your pup is most welcome on their wrap-around patio in the beautiful Gay St District!
